One of the causes that we regularly support is Postcards for Prisoners
Since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict in 2014 when Russia illegally annexed Crimea and backed the separatist movement in Eastern Ukraine, Russia has been arresting Ukrainian Activists simply for opposing the Russian Regime. These political prisoners are often kept in horrible conditions in Russian prisons.
We encourage students at the University of Victoria to write postcards to these prisoners to let them know that they have not been forgotten and to raise awareness about the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
